Two-shaft shredder

More than 30 years of experience in shredder construction have gone into the new design of the WTS shredder series.

How the WTS series works

The input material is drawn in by two shafts running slowly against each other (therefore dust and noise free), on which knife discs are mounted. This process is monitored by an intelligent and innovative PLC control. If the machine is overloaded or if there are foreign bodies in the cutting unit, the control reverses. Due to the exact cutting gap of the cutter discs, the material is shredded in a power-saving way. The attached scraper comb prevents the material to be shredded from winding up and being pulled up. The blade width or the number of blades determines the output size of the material.

All Wagner twin-shaft shredders have the following advantages:

  • Modular system
  • Maintenance-friendly robust screw construction
  • Two gearboxes
  • Constant torque on both shafts
  • User-friendly
  • Innovative PLC control with display or touch panel
  • Reliable and dependable
  • Powerful and reliable - Wagner quality
  • Fail-safe
  • High availability due to a high quality standard
  • Easy maintenance
  • Quick and easy blade change
  • Space-saving
  • Compact design
  • Adaptable
  • Adaptable to special requirements

Further Machines by Wagner

Wagner Pet Perforators

The range of application of the Wagner perforators in three versions includes the slitting or piercing of PET bottles or containers with a capacity of up to 2.5 litres. Slitting or piercing achieves a higher density and greater compactness of the bale. Three different sizes are available with a throughput capacity of 450 up to 2400 kg/h.

Mode of operation
The PET bottles fall onto the two counter-rotating shafts with strippers, which are equipped with exchangeable slotted tools. The bottles are drawn in and perforated by the tools. The bottles are pushed downwards by the shafts, where they are guided out of the machine into the designated container or press.

All Wagner Pet perforators have the following advantages:

  • Reliable
  • High availability and long service life
  • 100% perforation of the bottles
  • Low maintenance
  • Low and simple maintenance
  • Modular system
  • Individually adaptable to the respective situation

Wagner Tyre Separator WRD

The WRD series is used for separating rims (steel or aluminium) and tyres from passenger car wheels. The machines are suitable for plants where a large number of tyres have to be separated quickly and efficiently. Each pressing operation is completed in approx. 30 seconds (WRD 850) or 60 seconds (WRD 450).

Tyre Separator WRD450

The WRD450 is the cost-effective alternative to the WRD 850, which is used where a smaller quantity of tyres is required. The WRD450 can handle up to 60 wheels per hour.

How it works
The wheel is placed on the machine and the 3 hydraulic cylinders are operated with a mechanical two-hand control (accident prevention). The cylinders extend synchronously (on exchangeable plastic guides) and compress the tyre together with the rim. This causes a deformation of the rim, allowing the tyre to be removed from the rim in one movement.

Tyre separator WRD850

The WRD850 is used where a high hourly output is required in shift operation. The WRD850 can handle up to 120 wheels per hour.

How it works
After opening the protective cover, the wheel is placed on the machine. By pressing the two electronically controlled manual buttons (accident prevention), the three individually controlled hydraulic cylinders (on exchangeable plastic guides) extend synchronously and press the tyre together with the rim. After releasing the hand switch, the cylinders automatically retract. This causes the rim to deform, allowing the tyre to be removed from the rim in one easy movement.

Wagner BA30 Bale Breaker

With the bale breaker with a capacity of up to approx. 5000 kg/h (depending on the input mat.), a wide variety of compressed bales can be broken up or opened and fed for further processing.

Mode of operation
The bale is placed on a metering belt by the forklift and fed to the working area of the machine in interaction with the intelligent machine control. The bale is guided to the slowly running opening roller by the automatically and load-dependent controlled pusher. Unwinding is prevented by the intelligent cleaning cycle of the roller.

Possible applications

  • PET bottle bales
  • Mixed plastic bales
  • Paper and cardboard bales

With a wide range of options regarding infeed and discharge, special hopper shapes and various machine substructures, the BA 30 can be optimally adapted to the respective requirements.

Special solutions

At the request of a customer, Wagner develops and manufactures special solutions such as the WS70 for mattress shredding, the WS50 for medical waste shredding or the WG 300 glass crusher, to name just a few examples.
